Mountain Paws Pet Resort is a full service facility, serving the East Kootenays and surrounding areas. The business has been in operation for over 15 years, developing a reputation for customer service, excellent care and superior communications. Mountain Paws offers online and phone tools to make booking a breeze!
We understand that your pet is a part of your family and when it comes to caring for your family, it is extremely important to find someone you can trust. Mountain Paws Pet Resort is committed to safety, clean spaces, and supervision of dogs at play always. Our services include doggy daycare, boarding, non-sedation teeth cleaning, baths, and nail trims. We will now also be offering training for pets, from puppy school to specific needs-based training. Our boarding options even include a private suite with where your pet can spend the night in comfort with the owner and share a bed!!!
The team at Mountain Paws are friendly, animal loving, hard working people, who enjoy playing and working with your loved pets. All our caregivers are trained in dog body language, communications, and cues, essentially, we speak “dog”.
The Hoo-Mans
MPPR owners James and Diana have a combined more than 30 years experience in the dog care industry. They spent 8 years in Chilliwack as owner/operators of Small Frys Doggy Daycare, purchasing the Playpen Cranbrook in 2018. The business was incorporated in 2025, and rebranded to Mountain Paws Pet Resort, so they could put their own unique vision into action.
James & Diana are dog lovers, especially Dachshunds, which they have 2 of! You will see little sisters Lily & Lilac in many pictures and as regular Littles daycare participants!
You will also regularly see their amazing manager Erika! Erika has been a cherished staff member for many years, starting her career with MPPR as a Littles caregiver, then supervisor and now Front Desk Manager. She is the mastermind behind all of the creative, unique ideas that distinguish MPPR's customer service, including picture magnets, custom buttons, and pictures/videos of your pet's stay with us!
