Yes, MPPR offers early drop-off up to an hour before opening, or an hour past closing for late pickup. Please arrange ahead of time when booking that you wish either service. Early or late services are $5 per use.

When you bring your pet to MPPR for a meet and greet, we will introduce both parents and pets to our facility. You will be given a tour of the areas that your pet will be enjoying during their stay. Once your tour is completed, Pet parents will go to the front desk for booking, further questions, or discussion about the pet. MPPR will ask you to leave your pet with us for 4-6 hours so behavioural tests and observations can be performed. The results of the tests and scenarios will be discussed and a traffic light color assigned to your pet. These are Red, Yellow, or Green. Just like with our traffic signals, green means your pet is good to play in groups, we have observed good boundaries, behaviours and reaction to other dogs. Yellow shows that we have observed one or more behaviours that we feel can be corrected over time with extra supervision. Red light dogs are still allowed to attend, however, they do not play with dogs outside their own family. This is usually due to some sort of stress or trauma that does not easily correct with training and supervision. MPPR keeps separate areas for these pets so they and their families can still enjoy time with us.

MPPR has an outstanding safety record for dogs in our care. Over the years, we have had over 100,000 unique dog visits, and have had less than 1% veterinary visits. Dogs in playgroups receive supervision for safety, and are grouped so that dogs that are rougher players are together. Slower playing, seniors, and puppies get their own groups so that the energy matches up. With all that said, these are still animals, and occasionally issues happen. You can count on MPPR being up front with you about issues that occur, and we will do what we can to make it right. Our preferred veterinarian has reviewed our first aid procedures, timeframes to contact them, and our pet care staff have Canine First Aid.

Mountain Paws Pet Resort does not have a license to care for pets other than dogs and cats.

No, we have discontinued full grooming services. We do offer pawdicures (nail trims), exit baths as an add-on to daycare/boarding services, as well as non-sedation teeth cleaning for dogs. We do not offer any grooming services for cats.
